Have you seen one of the Paul Astor drawing live streams yet?
For my Live Drawing sessions on TikTok I was searching for a handy and fun format to present to my audience. I wasn’t actually actively looking for it, rather staying open and letting things flow to me. The sexy men I’m drawing i often combine with colorful Origami paper now, and I just love how these drawn guys turn out!
Paul Astor is so much more than the SWEET MEMORIES board game
For my series Men on the Index I had been using Origami paper already to create a colorful background to my drawings. And in one Live Drawing Session I was doing a warm up portrait sketch that turned way too good to just leave it be. So I decided to attach some colorful Origami Paper to it and use it as the background for the drawing. My audience enjoyed the excitement just as much as I do. Cutting out the portrait from the background with a sharp scalpel. Peeling off the Origami paper that’s covering the drawing. To me its extremely satisfying revealing the final artwork like that and the people watching my TikTok lives thought the same.
They even started talking about names for the men I’m drawing and now my regular followers will be discussing possible names for the drawing long before its finished. If you think you know a sexy and handsome man that I should feature in this origami series, please let me know!
